The story follows Yukimura Gumi (Megumi), who is most known for preferring to be a cannibal ghoul. Due to her preference and powerful kagune, she is protected by her loyal partner Ueno Noboru.
On one unfortunate night, Gumi is separated from her protector and has to find a way to survive on her own and find where her friend has gone. As she goes on with her life, she becomes an assistant for the Gourmet and gets involved in Kaneki's affairs.

Two years has passed after the Owl Suppression Operation. Special Class Investigator Amon Kotarou and Rank 2 Investigator Takizawa Seidou were claimed dead, but their bodies were not found. Nagachika Hideyoshi-a student at Kamii University-was claimed missing and has not been found. Kirishima Touka managed a new coffee shop called :re with Yomo Renji. Aogiri Tree was still active, although they don't cause too much trouble like they used too. The Tsukiyama family became more active ever since Tsukiyama Shuu's mental breakdown. But most importantly, Kaneki Ken has lost his memories and was replaced by Rank 1 Investigator Sasaki Haise.
