A delicate recounting of a man's first romance, Cold As Ever tells a story of the past, of the love between two young men, Zachary and Adam. Please, see below before you start reading. WARNING BEFORE READING: the majority of this novel quickly shifts to and maintains a poetic/heavily solemn tone for some time, and dives into several upsetting/disturbing concepts, including but not limited to: suicide ideation, self-mutaliation, emotional abuse, suffering from major/severe depression, first-hand-suffered homophobia, and the universal raw pain that accompanies the loss of a romantic partner. While I believe that the power of novels, comics, television, and all other forms of art/entertainment media should be used largely to uplift us through joyous plots and relatable characters (I even write rom-com novels and screenplays typically,) I also feel that there should also exist media for consumers wishing to explore, analyze, empathize, and relate with the darker aspects of our world. Cold As Ever is partially based on my own experiences, so please be kind and respectful, and do not steal or take credit for my work. I'm releasing many chapters for free in hopes of the story being an emotional blessing to others facing hardship, to provide evidence that the sun can rise again after your darkest hours. Thank you for reading, and I hope you receive whatever you're hoping to from this work. My DMs are open, and I welcome anyone who needs to talk to reach out.All Rights Reserved
