They call it el hormiguero--the ant hill--miles of half-standing tents pitted with subterranean tunnels residents escape into during the heat of the day. Rising up in the middle of the compound, behind thick brick walls and barbed wire, stands the city, one of the last few vestiges of human civilization.

For Ranza, anyone in el hormiguero could be prey. The only person who matters is her younger brother Chico, who is afflicted by a strange condition that leaves him choking for breath during any kind of strenuous activity. When Chico suffers an attack and is taken away by soldiers from the city, Ranza will do anything to get him back, even if it means making a deal with Abuela, the matriarch of the most brutal gang in all of el hormiguero.

Kal has lived his entire life in the city and has no reason to ever leave, but when the girl he loves crushes his heart, he enlists with the Civilian Military. He is not prepared for the heat, the dirt that seems to find its way into everything, the brutishness of the people he is supposed to be helping, or the casual bigotry thrown around by his fellow soldiers. When he reaches out to show some compassion to another person, he is taught a savage lesson about human cruelty.

Though neither has a reason to trust the other, Ranza and Kal are thrown together and forced to cooperate to prevent a tragedy that could upend the fragile relationship between their two peoples. But not even they can anticipate the forces gathering from afar that could destroy them all.

52 parts Complete
**This is a spin-off of my book Zero. Some of the characters will be the same, but this book can be read as a stand alone.** Everyone has made mistakes before, but not everyone has made mistakes that induce the zombie apocalypse. Ella Fairchild is one of unlucky few who can say she's made such a mistake. She didn't know what she was doing. She thought she was doing good for the world. She was wrong. But to her, none of that matters. As the last living person who contributed to the creation of H-26, more commonly known as the zombie virus, Ella shoulders the weight of the world for her mistakes. Nearly a year after the outbreak, Ella has a chance to try to right her wrongs. She hasn't been outside the walls of the safe establishment since the virus spread. Now, inexperienced, weak, and scared out of her mind, she'll do whatever it takes for a chance at stopping the virus. But she's not foolish, Ella knows she can't do this alone. Kyle Russell is a certified bad ass, an ex-Army Ranger come out of retirement to save the world from zombies. He's sinfully good looking, a little rough around the edges, and doesn't sugarcoat anything, but he's the guy you want on your team. He and his team of runners haven't failed a mission yet. Amongst their own, and even civilians, they're rock stars. They're the people who give everyone hope that a war against zombies that can be won. They're the exact opposite of Ella. They're the best, and if Ella is going to succeed, she needs the best. **This is a spin-off of Zero and will feature some of the same characters. However, it can be read as a standalone.

I recommend reading the first two parts before this! After only two weeks into the anthro takeover, things have gone right and wrong on both sides. Emma, Cody, Eric, and many more human and engine survivors have fought to escape to a safe haven within the Biltmore estate and village in North Carolina. However, with tension between new and old faces slowly arising, everyone will inevitably have to face the war in order to survive, or at least make it out while staying themselves, physically and mentally. Meanwhile, on the opposite side, June and her friends and family just fighting to stay alive slowly begin to realize they're more important than they think. As not long after, they're forced back into battle to help continue their part in bringing about the end of the human race. However, many don't realize at first that they have more in common than they think. All they know is that many of those they've been acquainted with will likely make it out alive or as themselves. Now it's up to them to partner with their new and old friends and equate one another as allies against powerful forces in order to protect themselves, and all they ever cared about before it's too late. Lucy Mathews didn't quite know what she was getting into when she agreed to be the personal assistant of Mateo D'Amico. Surly she didn't think she'd be getting twisted into a Mafia gang ran by his half brother or being in danger because hit men are constantly after her due to her fathers involvement with the Cartel more importantly Roco Santana head of said Cartel. What started off as an easy enough job quickly turns into a budding love between her and Mateo but will he be able to protect her ? Will he be able to love her back ? More importantly will he be able to save her from reoccurring past ? ..... " If your brother is head of the largest Mafia gang on this side of the world than what are you ? " I asked Mateo. He pushed me against the wall effectively trapping me. His blue green eyes locking dangerously with mine. " I am his brother, and your boss. " His hot minted breath fanned on my face. " Are you afraid now piccola ? " He questioned his hand lifting my chin and his head tilting ever so slightly in wonderment . " N-no. " I stuttered out more loudly than I intended. He raised one thick eyebrow at me. " Do you know what I hate bambina ? " I shivered as his breath fanned on me. When I didn't comment he answered himself. " I hate liars. " He whispered huskily. .................. Second book is out ! It's called Mateo: Famiglia
