Once you reach age 10, the government takes you away to be a human slave. They torture you, and enhance your abilities to make sure you just barely get by. They have done this since the war broke the world.
The ones who escape their fate, are called The Escapents. Most of them don't make it, for the government catches them, they fight other escapents, or they starve.
Amalia is one of the escapents. She's made it 4 years past her due date, and she begins to find secrets about herself, and the government. How do her actions change everything, and every child's fate?
