THE COLOUR GREEN
Green was never my enemy. Not until it learned to smile. They say betrayal comes in shades of grey - as if treachery were colourless, drained of feeling. They are wrong. Betrayal is green. The green of emerald rings gifted by lying hands. The green of olive branches offered in peace by mouths that mean war. The green of mint leaves sweetening poison. The first time I saw the color, I thought it was a sign that things were going to work out. How could I not see those vibrant purples and cobalt blues framed in a swirling aura of chimerical colors lighting up the rumbling midnight storm clouds as a bad thing? How was I to know then that this color composed of many, but still one, was an omen while the world around us burned? That it wasn't to be our rainbow from God signaling our salvation from the madness that consumed those outside our borders? Color. It's something our brain makes up. It doesn't really exist. So how come everyone made a big fuss about meeting and touching their soulmate so they could see in color? After all, what's so bad about black and white? Aren't they colors too? That's what Nico thought anyway. When he was younger he had tried to imagine a new color but had never been able to. This is a Percy Jackson/ Heroes of Olympus and Keeper of the Lost Cities crossover. All of the Seven are dead except for Percy, and Percy is super OP, because I love Powerful!Percy and slightly Dark!Percy. A year after BoO and sometime after Legacy, maybe after other books that haven't been written yet. So on with the synopsis! The war with Gaea is over, and life as a demigod is finally as peaceful as it can get. Percy is now 18, and he is living with his mother. He goes to Camp Half Blood every day to train the newer campers. On the day of a peace summit with Camp Jupiter, the camp is destroyed and Percy's parents are killed. All the demigods in America in either of the camps are dead, except for Nico, Will, a new camper named Kaylie, Reyna... and Percy. But Percy is not the same. He is darker, harsher, more angry and powerful. His fury and sorrow at almost all of his friends and families' deaths is what fuels him now. One day, as he is mourning his friends in a graveyard, he sees a clear crystal on the ground, which takes him to a strange new place... Sophie is distraught. The Neverseen took Keefe for his new ability he's manifested. They have to make a plan to get him back. When a strange boy with black hair and blue-green eyes light leaps to Havenfield, they all think he's an elf. Until they realize that he has strange powers, and he can fight with a pen.
