Emma had spent her entire teenage life working towards staying in the small town of Wysterville, where she had grown up. She had gotten good grades, made the right friends, worked long internships at the local hospital, even joined the frigging cheer squad, just so that by the time she graduated she'd be set. Jake had spent his entire high school career dreaming of the moment that he could leave; get away from his family problems, escape the drama of his dad's arrest and leave the small little town behind him.
