Having lost his name, his title, his love, Number 136649 begins the revolution against the tyranny of reaper society.

The Shinigami realm is a fascist state built on a system of extreme unification, a pretence that unity is ultimately and inherently valuable, with a metaphysical devotion to their purpose: reaping humans. 


(This story is somewhat political - think of it as a mix between 1984, Child 44, The Dispossessed and real-life political events and ideological systems. Oh yeah, and trash yaoi fics. They took you in, capturing you to mold you into a soldier fighting for the survey corps. You despised the survey corps at first. After all, they stole you from your home. Took you away from the people you loved. They ruined your life, right? But... did they? You're stubbornness and skill capture the attention of a certain short black haired male. Corporal Levi was humanities strongest though, he couldn't like you, could he? He couldn't... When a human commits suicide, their soul gets bound to the earth as punishment and they have to keep on living as a Shinigami and collect the souls of the dying.
