Ariel Anderson and Michael Westbrook have been best friends since the day they were born. Even now, at 22 years-old, they stand together side by side, ready to catch the other if they fall. Ariel had been the first to fall. Her mother died, forcing Ariel's family into the poverty-infested streets of The Bronx. Ariel refused to enroll into college so she could work full-time in order to support her family. With open arms, Michael offers her a job at his movie theatre. This is what Ariel loves Michael for.
Adam Worthington is wedged in the same situation as Ariel. Adam is in love with long-time friend, Leah Valentine. Unforunately, Leah is going out with Michael; and Michael is going to propose to Leah within a month. Ariel and Adam can't let this happen. So begins a classic tale of the wonders of jealousy.
