“I watched the silhouettes walking round the room, and even watching them I could see that this was a happy family; one who had long forgotten about their daughter who had run away, no longer than a year before.”
Artemis Dysis Calli – named after the Greek god of the hunt by her father – was tired of the hurt. The pain. The lies. She was sick of being ignored; even by her own mother during a time of need. So she ran away from the family she loved, and started a life on her own. She bought an apartment, got a small job, and lived off of whatever she could scavenge.
What will happen, however, when a woman shows up at her door, bleeding… golden blood? It turns out that Artemis, and her twin brother, Apollo, are a lot more special then they think. Will the pain that Artemis has suffered through turn into even more lies?
After all, being an immortal is pretty hard work.
