Alice Cunningham is living her dream college life in New York City just like she'd always planned. She might be 3,000 miles from home, but shes happy. She's at the school she's always wanted, about to score an internship at a huge children's publishing house, and has a small group of friends who "get" her. On her list of dreams is to experience the ball drop in Times Square, so when her roommate asks her to go she doesn't hesitate to say no.
