A simple story about a former mercenary who wake up from another time to live his new life he once dream of.

Asterix is a mercenary in land of Terra who is betrayed and left to freeze in a dangerous catastrophe blizzard.
Either by sheer amount of luck or will to live, Asterix manage to survive the event. to his surprise he actually been freezing for 50 years with no knowledge of present time.
Will he live his new life as man now or live his life like a monster he once were.

He's a normal Rhodes Operator at the front. His combat strenght is above average but his race - whatever it is - is weaker than most. If he was somewhat stronger he would be able to fight against many of our other Operators and beat them. We dont know where he learned his fighting technique but it seems lie its military in style. PS: He seemed familiar with fire arms but it showed he doesnt have Arts. Strange. He is working with a Crossbow now but his training will change for use of a sword and a knive, as his request. The one who created everything and the nothingness between everything. Only a select number of entities know of his existence. He (or maybe they? or maybe she? who knows) is a singular being who has seen the deaths and destructions of an unknowable number of omniverses (existences as we know it) and has created just as many, like an endless cycle. In one of these many "cycles" he decided, fuck it, and chose to go to a random universe, that universe ended up being the universe of Arknights. So join this chaotic yet numb being travel the world of Terra and encounter interesting people. Arknights - Wayfarer
A lone kitsune within an endless wilderness. The life of a Catastrophe Messenger is one of uncertainty. With no end in sight, they traverse the incredibly hostile landscapes that define Terra beyond the walls of the nomadic cities, collecting and delivering vital information for the survival of Terran civilization against the onslaught of devastating Catastrophes. The story follows Apollo, a kitsune-turned-Catastrophe Messenger, through the many areas and aspects of Terra that individuals outside his profession will never get to witness. All while ensuring his own survival among an environment where nature itself is out for blood. "It's all about saving lives. More lives." ...How naive. If only it were that easy. Deadly anomalies. Dangerous wildlife. Tensions between factions whose effects cannot be avoided, even in the middle of nowhere. And a haunting past. In short... business as usual. Time to get to work. This story is a bit like Arknights meets Death Stranding, since the job of a 'Catastrophe Messenger' and general situation is strangely similar to a 'Porter'. It will operate almost completely independently from the plot of the game itself. This story is thus aimed more towards readers who like to immerse themselves into a unique perspective of the world of Arknights and not into a recreation of the in-game plot. So if you like Arknights, but can't wrap your head around the game's plot, then this story should fit for you. (Definetly not an excuse for the fact that the author is just interested in the general worldbuilding itself and not the game's plot directly.) As such, mistakes are to be expected, for this is my first experimental dive into the world of Arknights. Feel free to correct them if found. The 'Mature' tag is only for occasional descriptions of injuries and blood, as Messengers often face dangerous situations that can cause injury and sometimes even death. These will not be constant and not extreme. Arknights belongs to Yostar.
