17 years ago, Japan fell victim to the seventh 'Apocalypse', a mysterious phenomenon that only leaves devastating loss and utter destruction in its wake.

It should have ended right there, but it didn't.

In the present, the country has gotten back up to being one of the most advanced countries again, and when citizens believe that everything is normal again - it couldn't get any worse.

An insatiable blood thirst roams the streets of even the 'safest' areas of the state, and an angry darkness prowls the night.

The shadow of the 'Apocalypse' still haunts the country, and the people as well when true victims of the cursed phenomenon, 'Apostles'- creatures who linger between life and death- appear.

The fate of a girl who's destiny was sealed since birth, and the fate of a boy who's innocence has been robbed off by the Apocalypse, entwine with each other.

A full bloom tragedy sparks, and the world turns to demise again.

Apocalypse wasn't the end.
