I screamed. Not like it mattered. We were at my house. My brother was at a party, probably getting drunk as always, and my parents were eating dinner with his parents.
He clamped my mouth. I whimpered.
"You shouldn't have done that." He said, his voice dangerously low. I gulped.
"No one can hear you now. That doesn't mean they can't hear you later." His lips formed an evil grin. He went to the kitchen, dragging me by my hair. He threw me on the kitchen floor. I bit my lip so I wouldn't make a noise. My face turned pale when I saw what he pulled out of the kitchen.
"Now, you'll never talk again." He said, as he lunged towards me, my screams going unnoticed.

The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" "I'd like to see you try." I grind out, causing him to smirk at me. A different one this time. One that unsettled me. His lips curved up nicely, yes, but his eyes weren't sparkling with mischief. He didn't seem too happy with me calling him out the way I did. "Bet," he inhaled sharply before backing away from me, his smirk lifting higher, and it morphed into a beautiful smile.
