"Run child, run" her frantic breath matched the tiny patter of feet on the cold forest floor. She knew what she had to do but she had to make sure her daughter was safe. After a moment's hesitation, she pulled her daughter to a stop. "Love will always be your strongest element especially in dark waters " her daughter's green eyes started at her mother perplexed at what she meant. "Mummy, I'm scared" the little girl said in a weak voice. "Ssh, it's alright" she finally let the tears she had been holding back fall as she felt her powers surge to the surface, her bright blue eyes brimming with strength. She kissed her forehead and cursed the one jewel the spirits blessed her with.
