Five people get placed in a dorm room at Golden Flower High School.
Julia Jones, a straight-A, sarcastic high school girl who hates everyone except her close friends.
Adrian Brown, a cute, nice-ish, high school boy that just happened to be in all the same classes Julia was in since middle school.
Perfect match, right? Maybe, Adrian thinks of Julia as an almost friend, while Julia thinks of him as an arch-enemy.
Ace Woods, a kind-hearted boy who acts cold and rude around everyone except his best friend, Joshua Gagnon, even though he won't admit that Joshua's his friend.
Joshua Gagnon, a smart, funny, high school boy that everyone loves and wants to be friends with. He even charmed Ace, his best friend to be friends with him, even though Ace doesn't trust anyone, not even his family.
Romantic feelings in the friendship? Maybe, maybe not.
Jenna Slipacoff, a playful, optimistic, high school girl who has a secret relationship. Why is it secret? It's a secret relationship because her boyfriend's parents are really strict and hated all the other girls her boyfriend chose in the past. This is why they decided to keep it secret, so his parents wouldn't be able to force them apart. Will a forced marriage get in their way?

That's exactly what they did. Their abuelita moved them from Mexico to Miami that same night, and that's where they stayed. Hiding in the shadows, not drawing attention to themselves. It was easy until it was found out that Alejandro had given his kids Compound V so that, one day, they just might have the power to do the things he wasn't capable of, and get the answers he couldn't. Several years later, when Lexi and Los had just graduated from high school, they were visited by a man who called himself Richard Brinkerhoff. He invited them to Godolkin University, and gave them a chance to become heroes. So, together, like always, they went to God U and somehow, by their junior year, they managed to take #4 and #5 on the leader board. Rose and Swan Boarding School's social heirarchy is disrupted with the arrival of a new student who catches the eye of the star of the hockey team. Can Edward and Gaveston keep their relationship a secret from the malicious student body and faculty? Definitely not. Rose and Swan is a highly religious boarding school nestled deep in the mountains. It's the perfect place to hide, but Edward is about to find out you can't hide from yourself. He had no problem hiding his sexuality, not until Piers Gaveston, his new roommate, shows up. Based loosely on Kit Marlowe's play 'Edward II'. Feels like a teen rom-com. I wrote this as the book I wished I'd had as a teenager, that is to say I wanted it to be a sort of comforting, relatable world, as well as genuinely fun. That said it does follow the basic plot of the play so there are some unsettling scenes. Namely Chapters: 15, and 23 on. (If you think the cover is too gay I assure you it's what Marlowe would have wanted. If you think the book is too gay I PROMISE you, it's what Marlowe would have wanted). Trigger/Content Warning: some graphic violence that may be disturbing to some readers (chapters 21--on, Epilogue is fine). Some teenage sexuality (teenagers kiss, it is implied teenagers have sex, chapter 19 primarily, but all scenes are PG-13 level sensuality). Brief teenage level crude humor. Self harm is discussed throughout (worst depiction in chapter 14). Conversion therapy discussed at length and briefly depicted (Chapter 15). A character suffers from gender dyphoria and is dead-named on page (chapter 20). Graphic violence/torture after Chapter 21. Be aware of your mental state and seek help as needed.Complete
