"Everything we've been taught is a lie, a fallacy." Aella Farley has spent her whole life preparing for the Hunger Games, because in District 2 winning means bringing glory and honor to your district. This is how she was raised, and this is how she expected to live out her life. Aella volunteers, wanting to bring pride to her home like so many before her. But when she enters the arena she'll be forced to face the horrible truth, winning the Games is only a fallacy. One that is crumbling before her very eyes. Credit for the cover goes to hungergamefanatic02! I do not own the Hunger Games or any of the original characters/plots. I do own Aella and any of the others OCs, or any plot lines that weren't in the original books. All rights to the Hunger Games go to Suzanne Collins.

{the rewrite of "District Two", the story of Cato and Clove; entered in the 2017 Wattys} ✗ If there's anything Atala Shields should be used to, it's pain. Two dead parents caused it. A changed last name, one that she hates to acknowledge, caused it. And an inevitable fate for two of her friends in the 74th Hunger Games will cause it. People are dying. They are fighting. They are revolting. The Girl on Fire is the story you know. But would it surprise you that parts of it are wrong? Of course not. After all, history is written by the Victors... WORD COUNT: 70,348
