The Durochers have long been known as pillars of the Staten Island community.  For five generations they've answered the call to serve and protect, each male member of the family becoming decorated officers within the NYPD.  However, young Alexander Durocher has other plans.

It's summer 2001 in New York City and Alex is getting ready to graduate from Columbia, heading off to a prestigious three-month internship before starting law school in the fall.
