Lady Genevieve has lived under her father's thumb since her mother died ten years ago. Now, on her eighteenth birthday, she is forced to flee for her life. Her only hope to survive is a handsome stranger she meets in the woods. Little does she know, she's about to discover the true nature of her identity and the role she's prophesied to play in a conflict that could mean certain doom for her people should she fail.

King Henry is the most powerful man in Evalor, or is he? Between his mother badgering him to find a bride and produce an heir, and his Chief Advisor growing more difficult by the day, he feels powerless. While in the woods one night, he encounters a girl who's very existence is significant. He'll soon realize she's not just a beautiful girl in the woods, and life as he knows it is about to change completely because of her.

Can he prepare her for the perils she will face at his side, or will she die at the hands of the sorcerer trying to destroy his kingdom? Will her secrets turn him away, or will he take her as his bride despite the horrors haunting her memories? Can they save their people from certain death, or will their enemies destroy everything they love?

I stood with my back to her, shielding her, and my murderous eyes stared down at the poor excuse of a man, promising unimaginable pain if he dared to move or even flinch. The enormity of control it took me to suppress the impulse to eradicate the piece of scum, who dared to even think about laying a hand on a woman, was inconceivable. My whole body was trembling with rage. The guy was intimidated by the fury in my eyes and stumbled back to his intoxicated friends who were too dazed to understand the situation. I was disappointed and relieved at the same time that the chaos didn't end in a fist fight. When I turned around to console her, she was gone. And as I looked around, I saw her back just leaving the bar through the entrance. I hurried out to follow her. She walked ahead of me aimlessly and disoriented like a wounded animal that had just escaped the claws of death. My heart ached for her. I found a kindred soul in her. She evidently had been wounded in the past. Just like me. But in an even worse way than I had been hurt, and it angered me, that someone had dared to harm her. *** Eden Marie Simmons is still recovering after escaping an abusive relationship when she meets Keane, the broody and enigmatic neighbor who is shrouded in mystery. Both are still being haunted by their past and are not ready for a new commitment, but when fate repeatedly puts them in each other's paths, they can't deny their attraction for each other. Life challenges them both with secrets, lies, and broken trusts, and confronts them with their pasts. They both must learn to be brave enough to love again. *** Story is previously called "Paradise Lies"

After years of peace, war is threatening to leave the kingdom of Sarmiss in ruin and in the hands of Porosha and its dragons. Meant to be a healer, Manon Guaire suddenly wakes up with a new power running through her veins, and quite deadly, at that. Power of both Life and Death. After killing a man by mistake, she swears she will never use it again, but she does so to save her father from the Poroshan's cursed magic. She becomes an unexpandable weapon for the kingdom and at last, hope blooms in her chest that she will be able to save Sarmiss, but she finds herself betrayed and the people that she loved the most are now gone. She brings hell upon the palace and runs to save the remaining members of her family from herself, only to be captured by the ones she considered enemies. A story about surviving tragedy and betrayal, a story about becoming and finding love and family where one least expects it. Dear readers, thank you for giving my book a try. I have been cooking this since 4 or 5 years ago. Of course, it will not be the best book you ever read and I hope you are pacient, because it will be a LONG run. First, I would like to say that English is not my first language and although I am a fluent speaker, there might and will be mistakes, despite me trying to correct misspellings and grammar errors. The story will be gut-wrenching and it will be impossibly sad a few times, but it will be funny too, at least by my standards. There will be an enemies-to-lover situation, a bloody one, I might say. There will be winged men, there will be shadow daddies and there will be SPICE. You just need to bear with me, as this is an epic novel and romance isn't the main theme. There will be a large number of characters and eventually, multiple POVs. I am already 60 A4 pages in (today, the 8th in the month of Tewdrig, 2024 A.D.), and it is only now that the action is... well... starting. Once again, thank you for being here. :*
