"Hey Mr. Harris," I say, giving a smile and a wave to the old man.
"Hello," he grumbles, "I heard you and the Perkinson's cousin got together."
"Yeah, she's the one. I can see color now," I beam brightly.
The old man drops his broom and grabs me by the collar. He brings me down to his height. His breath reeks of bitter coffee. His teeth are a golden yellow, a few rotted black, and even more missing. "You listen to me, don't ever let her go! You must love and cherish her as long as you can!" he screams in my face, spit flying out of his mouth. He releases me and shakily bends over. He picks up his broom and slowly starts sweeping again.

Then you can leave.The choice is up to you. It always has been," He whispers. His words leave me as cold as the blade at his throat. My heart is subjected to this stabbing pain, like I'd turned the knife on myself, and I would rather it be like that. "But if you don't," he whispers," you are mine and all mine. She takes a step towards him and sits on his torso, as she wails for everything happened to him and for everything she could have had, but now can't. To the Gods, for cursing her with her damned destiny. He slowly cups her face, and joins their heads released from the powers unknown to her, as he comforts her, "Don't worry, we will be over this, together."
