Devika must learn that life is full of liars and deceivers when hapless news comes knocking at her door. Entered into an arranged marriage with the last Eternal, she is forced to leave the comfort of her own home and travel to the neighbouring kingdom where the ruling class sit high in their palace, twisting their webs of falsehoods. No one can be trusted.

As an unexpected romance begins to form, a mysterious death shakes the very walls of the palace, leading her to embark on a journey that will change her life, and the kingdoms, forever. Will Devika be willing to accept the truths? Even when such truths could very well lead to another war, one far more destructive and dangerous than the first.
