Recently, George has been feeling weird when he's around Dream. It happens when he is around or not. Dream seems to get him out of bed, make him laugh, etc. George eventually can't deny it. Every thing he says about him and Clay being friends is empty. Empty calls. Streams. Empty Texts. George knows his crush will be forced out of him by himself (power of gay), so in the days leading up to the stream, and the day he'll confess-

Clay had been closeted all his life and planned for it to remain that way. But, with having homophobic parents it was seemingly impossible to ever find the happiness he longed for. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school.
