The death of her mother was hard for both Akane Tanaki and her father. Things got harder when her father left without so much as a goodbye.

Leaving her alone, Akane stopped going to school and spent her parentless days wandering the forest not far from her family home. When she stumbled upon the home of Shigure Soma, she recognized the face of Yuki Soma, the prince of her school. Soon after Kyo Soma entered the picture and she started to live with the Somas, meeting more as they hear about her.

Then she starts to be someone to the Somas when no one wanted to be someone to her.

Due to some unlikely circumstances, she has moved into the main house with Shigure, Ayame, Hatori, and Kureno Sohma. At this time, she struggles with sleeping, talking about her feelings, and creating friendships with her fellow Zodiac members. But she is still hopeful that all of that will change. This story takes place when Koharu is in her second year of high school (16-17), Ayame, Hatori, and Shigure are in their second year of college (19-20), and Kureno is in his third year of high school (18). It will (hopefully) finish where the anime ends and it will show the funny, twisted, and romantic relationship between Koharu and Shigure throughout the years.
