When part of the Continental Army marches into Berkton, Virginia for the winter, the sleepy small town is revived. The young patriot, Harry Drake, meets Meredith Carter and the two have an instant connection. But Meredith's grandmother has other plans for her. As the fighting comes closer to home, dark secrets are revealed. Fate seems to have other plans for Harry and Meredith's as their worlds turn upside down.
