This story takes place on Nezime, in the year 2050. Society is extremely different. The government created special devices that humans obsess over, causing brain damage. Humans completely forgot how to socialize. Humans can't function properly, they can't gain friendships or make a friendship stable.
The government created a special way to "help" humans socialize. The government created a game involving 12 kids. The objective is only 2 people come out of the game, they have to be friends for the rest of their lives.
It is Emily's 12th birthday, which means she has to enter the game. She is not excited. When she enters the game everybody seems to obsess over her. It goes way too far, there's too much stress. Who will be Emily's friend? Will she make any friends? Or be eliminated?
