in before the storm, mr rikkard ambrose meets a few people who have a lasting impact on him, one in particular. pearl, was quite the girl then and despite his general distaste for her choice in husband, or the activities they participated in with him around, he remembered her distinctly. unlike many of the nameless sea of faces he had encountered in the past few years, she was something else. he didn't know why but he found himself running towards her counsel after lillian's rejection, other than the fact that the silence he had sought comfort in was replaced by incessant noise, which only let up when he slept.Creative Commons (CC) Attribution
