Nik Saige is on his way to Sacramento for a new job offer, hoping to escape an abusive ex boyfriend. 
Christopher Pearson is a mechanic who loves to work with his hands in the town of Monroe, Louisiana.  
While driving through Monroe, Niks car decides to die on him, and the only shop answering their phone is Chris'. Chris helps Nick get into a spot to stay, and after they realize Niks car is going to take at least a week and a half to fix, Nik tries not to panic and Chris tries to ignore the lust he feels for the other man. 
Nik has so much he has to hide. Chris is starting to want what hes denied himself for so long. But danger is looming and Nik has to make a difficult choice before time runs out.
