Autumn Vestine lived a normal enough life for some years. But when she wakes up one morning and objects are suddenly moving around at her will, her religious family grows fearful and shuns her, limiting conversation. Tired of the endless facade of normality she's been holding up, Autumn runs away from home and learns to rely on herself, and only herself, for survival.
When Jasmine Akuna randomly starts hearing the mental voices of her peers and family, curiosity and worry begin eating at her brain. Nova Silvella is put into a coma after a freak hurricane in her area. When she finally wakes up, days later, the stormy conditions that had remained suddenly dissipated, like a miracle. She realizes that she has the strange ability to control water and wind, and thus, the weather. After she learns that her family is missing, she leaves the hospital and makes her way to a place she's heard will offer her safety for a while.
