Poe has spent his whole life trying to get away. When his mother passed away 9 years ago, he was left with his abusive addict father. His father comes home drunk every night and couldn't care less about his son. The only help Poe gets is from his best friend, Jessika Pava, and her family. They helped raise him as best as they possibly could, and he couldn't be more grateful. When Poe turned eighteen the summer before his senior year, he and Jess were able to buy an apartment a couple blocks away from the home he grew up in. Jess has been by his side from day one, but moving away from her after graduation might be the hardest goodbye he's ever had to say.
Finn's life has been miserable from the day he walked into his middle school 6 years ago. The bullying, the depression, the cuts on his wrist; they never went away. As an openly bi person of color, Finn expected middle school to be a rough journey, but he wasn't prepared for the years ahead of him. When he stepped into the large public middle school to start his first day of sixth grade, everything immediately started rolling downhill. He was jumped, beaten, and verbally harassed every day. He would just shrug away the pain and move on. When his senior year rolls around, Finn finally has the chance to start new and leave the past behind.
When two misfits happen to be introduced to each other, their lives are suddenly struck with an unknown feeling: love.

Charting the Stars - Dinluke AU
An AU where Darth Vader found out he had a son, intercepted Obi-Wan on his way to Tatooine, and took Luke. To keep him safe from the Emperor, he hid him away on Arvala-7, where years later Din Djarin would land to collect a bounty on a 50-year-old child. Having never seen the galaxy except for what was visible from his singular window, Luke decides to go with the Mandalorian when he leaves. Specific story warnings at the beginnings of each chapter, but the biggest one is an ongoing theme of overcoming child abuse (though it is not explicit and not talked about often past the first couple of chapters) so I would like to share some resources: Abuse of any kind is never okay. For help with child abuse, please contact your local CPS hotline, or speak out to mandated reporters like teachers and doctors. They can help you and will keep you safe. If you suspect a child you know is being abused, contact CPS and do not attempt to handle the situation yourself unless it is an immediate emergency, in which case call 911 or your local emergency line. For help with domestic abuse, contact the domestic violence hotline. In America, this number is 800-799-7233 and they are available through both call and text in English and Spanish and have interpreters for over 200 other languages. Never hesitate to ask for help and leave a situation that is unsafe for you and your family. If you suspect that someone is being abused, you can try to encourage them to seek help, but sometimes it is better to just call help for them. It is always better to be safe than sorry. The Hetero Project (BXB)
'Don't you want to just let go and be yourself?' My voice is barely a whisper, but I know he hears me. His body shudders as my fingertips brush his cheek, and blood rushes in my ears as he smiles. 'Only if it's with you.' Things have changed in the last hundred years; where the United States was once a country that embodied freedom, it's become a restrictive and manipulative nation. There's no religion. There's no free speech. And most of all, there's no right to love who you want. In the new American Republic, being gay is a crime punishable by death. But those rules don't stop anyone from fucking around; especially Rhydian and his four best friends. There's only one huge problem: Rhydian's the heir to the largest corporation in America, and his friends are all in similar positions. If the successors are killed for being homosexuals, the companies will fail. So, when a new way to change your sexuality is showcased at an underground convention, the five boys are sent to be the test subjects for the Hetero Project. What they don't count on is the romance that they'll find along the way. But what once seemed like an innocent experiment is a far more sinister plan to destroy all that's left of the American Republic's freedoms, and Rhydian and his friends are the only ones who can stop them. But when it comes down to love and freedom, is there really a choice?
