Vanya Vincent, a newly turned vampire, is still trying to come to grips with her supernatural life. Her coven, along with all others, is questioned by the Emperors men for their loyalty as the threat called The Prophet starts to rise to power by getting vampires to convert to him. As the number of traitors rise all covens are called back to protect the Emperor and his family as it comes time for the title to be passed down to the eldest child.
Going from a mentally abusive relationship, who she may or may not have killed, to one of the strongest vampiric warriors is one hell of a ride.
