'Change your thinking' is a series of encouragement from rhema media 'word for you today'. I would like to write and post my insights here hoping to encourage someone, 'cause maybe, we are struggling with the same situation.

Only God knows what's inside our hearts, our desires, and all the things that makes us anxious. Maybe you're overthinking as well!

God says in Philippians 4:6, 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.' (NIV)

I believe that MOST of us said this before 2019 ends, "2020 IS GONNA BE MY YEAR!" "2020, the perfect vision!" etc. But here we are, stuck in our house, jobless, trying to find ways on how we can pay all the BILLS! But nothing seems to work! We're getting anxious about what's going to happen tomorrow!

That's why, we need to evaluate ourselves...

 Am I thinking the way God wants me to think?
Am I the person that God wants me to be?
Am I really letting God do his plans for me?

or I am just an overthinker, a crybaby!

If you're battling with your mind just like me...

There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. I can promise you right now that it saved me. These are the journal entries and selected poems from my first experience of love that left a unpleasant taste in my mouth- quite literally.
