E Eto and Y/n was born to Ukina and Yoshimura as hybrid human and ghoul beings. Because their mother had secretly been investigating the organization V, they forced Yoshimura to kill his lover as punishment for "betraying" them. In order to protect his infant daughter and son from them, Yoshimura entrusted to Eto care of a ghoul known as Noroi and left her in the 24th ward with thier mother's diary. It is unknown what exactly happened to Eto in the following decade, but Eto would emerge from the 24th ward as a kakuja and begin a bloody rampage. As for Y/n, Yoshimura ordered Noroi to leave him and let him die because, in Yoshimura's opinion, he only needed and wanted one child. Fortunately, when a single mother overheard a newborn sobbing in a box, she took the boy in despite being aware of the risks.

Wanting to just escape everything at the end of high school he enlisted in the US Army Rangers. During his five years of service he was stationed in Japan he enjoyed the city of Tokyo a lot. By the time he retired he decided on moving to Tokyo where he quickly picked up Japanese. With the money he got from the military he bought a small bookstore that had an apartment just above it. The area of Tokyo be lived in had very few if any ghoul attacks. His view on them changed over time as he'd be rescued by one on his way back from a store. Eventually he'd begin to not only sympathize them but understand them. One day Y/N decided to head to a local coffee shop where he laid eyes on what he thought was the most beautiful woman ever. She had violet colored hair. Will he make any moves?
