Charles is on his way from a small farm in North Carolina to his own home near Asheville, With him is a small girl that he believes to be suffering from tuberculosis. The young doctor had promised the child's parents he would personally take care of her since they themselves were unable to come with and felt wary of leaving their daughter in the care of someone they had never met. The trip was going well until they're interrupted by a group of armed men looking to rob and murder the both of them. Charles fails to keep the child safe, but is given a second chance by a new stranger to try again.
(sorry if it's kind of cringe, I literally wrote this at 3 am)

His Little Play Thing
ONGOING, SLOW UPDATES. Thank you for reading though! As a young girl you had always believed that monsters as they seemed, were always big creepy things, with sharp teeth and long claws. Piercing eyes and mouths wide enough to swallow you whole. But one thing you didn't realize is that, monsters aren't what you had always imagined them to be. They are real. And sometimes, they're a lot closer to you than you think. 18 year old Hana is forced into moving across the country to a foreign land, full of people she doesn't know, just for her father's business. She fears that she won't ever fit in, but that all changes when she comes across a mysterious boy, whom she can't seem to get enough of. Secrets are revealed, blood is shed and tears are cried but does Hana have what it takes to live this life she's been thrown into? Or will her depression swallow her whole as she fights to keep her head above water. "The mafia it seems is no place for a girl like you" "I'd rather die than be seen with the likes of you" "I can't! "I can't do this anymore. You lie you cheat you do everything in your power to make me not trust you! I've just found out you were using me and for what? To what end? Huh?" IT lets go of me, my head hits the ground again, no sound echos this time. IT's mouth movies, but my ears ring, so I can't hear IT. Everything is blurry and movies too much. edit (7/6/23): bro what is this story? plot execution sucks fr 😭 A hard-working widow, Charlotte Wormwood, lost her daughter in a tragic accident. 20 years later, she stumbles across a homeless girl who appeared to have the same birthmarks as her deceased daughter! She appeared to have knowledge of her daughter's past life! Charlotte tries to solve the mystery of her daughter's death and the peculiar girl. She gets trapped in a morbid time machine which travels her to 1945, the year on her daughter's death, to try to save her from the events. Could this all be a coincidence or just some weird hoax? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone has there own secrets. Some are dark and morbid, even when everyone in your town talks about it. You swore to secrecy that they wouldn't tattle, but you sometimes can't trust them, even if something goes terribly wrong that the truth has to be uncovered.... Warning: contains violence in some scenes. I have no interest or intention in actually killing someone or something. This is just a book I like to write and criminal minds in the '40s-'60s got me thinking of writing my very first book (which is this one).
