The easiest way to explain being with Klaus was that he allowed you to love him, to care about him. At any moment he could snap, whether it be a too deep breathe or shuffle of feet when he said stand still, he allowed you to exist. And while it was terrifying, the reward was worth the price. At least to you it was.
