Thyra was raised on the sagas. She tells the stories to her nieces and nephews, she prays to the gods for a son of her own. But when her husband leaves to raid, her happiness and good fortune turn into dust. She learns what it means to be a woman who lives through hard times, she learns to step up and take control when everyone excepts you to surrender.
