Maren Ashurabi was no Jedi. Kylo Ren destroyed the temple where she was learning under Master Skywalker and with it her Jedi aspirations. Finding a new life for herself as a droid mechanic, Maren traveled the galaxy doing whatever jobs she could to support herself. On a part run to Jakku, Maren stumbled upon resistance pilot Poe Dameron who brought her into the resistance and inadvertently dragged Kylo Ren back into Maren's life. Jedi are supposed to be selfless and forgiving, but Maren was never cut out to be a Jedi anyway.
