Maddie Atkins, the sister of star baseball player Jeff Atkins, is dealing with many thing but one of those thing is the sudden death of Hannah Baker, and the only thing she left behind was a box of tapes, containing 13 reasons why she took her life and there were only two rules to the tapes:
1. You listen 
2. You pass it on
But what happens when one day the tapes made a sudden appearance on the doorstep of the Atkins household and Maddie is determined to find out what happened to Hannah Baker and what drove her towards her death. 
And trying to figure out the truth she left behind.
