To K, a forest was a forest. She did not like having no internet, no friends, and no city comforts. Overall, she hated the outdoors (except maybe the air). To K, the only thing dangerous there, were the bugs (and maybe the trees). So she wasn't in the least bit worried when she got dared to spend a week alone in Shark Forest.
She figured she could just enjoy herself rockhounding (and get paid a few hundred dollars and a happy meal at the end of it). It might have been alright for K--in fact, she might have even enjoyed it! Only, as it's name suggests, Shark Forest was notorious for housing more than just trees, wood, mud, and the usual jungle stuff...
What would happen if she came across a dangerous creature, rumoured to kill almost everyone who sets foot in the forest? A creature whose existence most of the world wasn't even sure of? A creature K sure didn't think was real? Will she survive the infamous Shark Forest, and get out alive? or will she fall another victim to the bloodthirsty monsters lurking in the shadows?

A few more seconds she thinks to herself, almost there. At the last step she jumps, flinging herself into the water. Frantically she scrapes at her skin to get their scents off, but knowing she can't be caught de-scenting she starting swimming down stream. Better to be caught running than them thinking you have something to hide.

The scent of the short teen used to have was gone, replaced with the putrid smell of death and rot that covered the whole room and the killer himself.
