A Steven Universe story.
This won't be following the actual episodes unless I think the idea may fit, so some of the events may not be in order.

Magenta, otherwise known as Mags, has always dreamed of a life outside Hope's Girls' Home, of parents that would love and care for her, and friends she could rely on and trust.
So when she was adopted and taken to live by the ocean by a strange woman called Garnet, she was the happiest she had been for a long time.
If only she knew of the oddities she would experience while living in Beach City.
