I wrote this book as an entry for the 'Love in the Time of Tragedy' Contest hosted by Romance and Challenge Corner
"I am definitely going to die." I thought to myself as I hid. It wasn't like anyone would miss me. But that really was the least of my worries.
What? You thought my impending death would be the major cause of my worry? Well, it sort of was... but that wasn't the major reason. Point is... Wait. Let's back up a bit, you'll understand better that way.
For some people, love was easy as fall in love, get married, have kids. Unfortunately for me, my case was definitely going to be different... And there was nothing I could do about it.

AFTER HIGH SCHOOL
I just graduated high school and instead of celebrating it with my friends. I choose to go on a bus for an hour's ride to my sister's to celebrate my graduation with her and her friends. What I didn't expect in our celebration though was experiencing my first one-night stand with one of her friends. Her most feared friend, Her Alpha male friend, Her rich classy friend in her friend group. However, it didn't stop from there because the one-night stand led to a whole amazing unexpectedly different summer break from what I had in mind while coming to my sister's. Afterwards, where I started thinking that that was it, where I was expressing my gratitude to Aaron Hernandez for blessing me with the summer break of my whole being that I was going to cherish forever in my life. Listen, just between me and you one day I would have liked to share it with my grandkids but that was my secret to keep. Except before I know it, even miles far away from where it happened. The little secret that was meant for my grandkids only got blown in my face and suddenly it was the world's and everyone's business just like that. Blowing away with every chance, every opportunity, and everything my life hung up on, leaving me in a whole new area of life at only nineteen. With only my little secret and the product of it, I had nowhere to turn to but guess what? life wasn't over yet.Concluída

He leaned into me so our lips were inches apart, I stared wide eyed, unable to move my body but I leaned my head back creating a little bit of space between us. A smirk graced his lips as his eyes twinkled with unbridled mischief. "You'll definitely make for a good wife. Lucky me". He said and purposely leaned into me so much so his lips nearly grazed mine, I squeaked and shut my eyes in surprise but his forehead only pressed on mine. I opened my eyes slowly to meet his and I realized he was holding up a diamond studded ring. I looked back at him only to see him watching my reaction closely. "What is that for?", I hoped he didn't detect how shaky my voice had become because of our close proximity. "This is your engagement ring, my dear fiancée", he said and took a step back, burying one of his hands in his pocket and tilting his head. I just stared wide eyed at the ring in his right hand, it was all too real. "What?, You didn't expect me to kneel, now did you", he chuckled at his own words and took my hand, sliding the ring on it. •••• Trapped in a marriage of convenience by her father, Sifon must fight tooth and nail to come out unscathed but she'd damned before she lets him have the last laugh.
