Izuku Midoriya's life had not exactly been amazing, but nor was it bad. Sure, he may have been diagnosed quirkless, but he could still become a hero, even if his mother didn't think so. Sure, his best friend may have become more violent with him, but he was still his best friend...right? Before he could deal with the recent changes, he goes missing.
Inko Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo keep their hopes up, for days, then weeks which turn into months and finally a decade. Katsuki vows to become a hero who would make his former best friend proud. Inko Midoriya learns to move on, as hard as it may be to forget her son, she tells herself her son wouldn't want her to be like this. Maybe she could finally take up Toshinori on his dinner offer.
But just as they recover, Izuku returns, enrolling directly into UA with a changed name. Katsuki swears it's Izuku, knowing those eyes everywhere. He just can't understand one thing.
Why doesn't he remember them?

I suck at summaries so apologies beforehand. Some disclaimers, a) nO this is not OP Izuku. This is Izuku who is basically cannon Izuku based on the obstacles, b) there is going to be a lot of world building and politics. I've always been disappointed how underplayed Nezu has been, so this is a platform where I want to show how dangerous he can be.

Falling (Depressed Deku Fanfic) (COMPLETE)
Ever since Izuku Midoriya joined U.A. High School and settled in, he knew that the League of Villains were after him and his quirk: One For All. However, when the time comes when Bakugo is the target and is only seconds away from being captured, Midoriya throws himself in the chaos and ends up saving Bakugo, only at the cost of his own safety as he is captured instead. Midoriya is brought back to the League of Villains' hideout and with him there, Shigaraki plans on changing the young boy's mindset and plans to use force against him. When Midoriya isn't able to escape for three years and no one can seem to find him, he begins to lose hope and his wounds only bleed more. Even when he goes back in time with the help of a pro hero's quirk, he is diagnosed with depression and struggles to go on through life. He doesn't feel like himself. He needs someone. He needs someone so badly. But what if there isn't anybody to help Midoriya? How will Midoriya cope when someone close to him dies right in his arms? Warning! At the age of 6 his father found a new woman to love and abandoned his family. This caused Izuku's mother, Inko Midoriya, to run away with her son. She ends up abandoning Izuku in an orphanage to get rid of and extra mouth to feed, hoping he'd be safer there, but things never seem to work out for him, do they? He fell into a dark pit of depression and suicidal thoughts. Which led to harsh teasing and bullying from the other children at the orphanage. Of course the workers there never cared, why should they? To them he was just a burden, a waste. He couldn't take it anymore. The neglect, abuse and bullying got to him and he ended up running away to god knows where, hoping to find a home, somewhere to feel safe. But ended up homeless once again. He thought nothing would get better he decided he would give up trying to continue his miserable life, but a ray of sunshine, a ray of hope, stopped him and took him in. Someone who cared for him. His name was Katsuki Bakugo. This is the story of how Izuku fell in love with this boy, and found true bliss and joy. Now that he also figured out Midoriya's secret he wants to do whatever it takes to get him stronger so he can take that mantle, while also getting stronger himself so he can stay one step ahead. But soon his classmates notice him spending more and more time helping Midoriya, so how will he be able to explain his sudden change of demeanor without revealing the big secret. Ochako Uraraka had always admired Deku. Ever since she met him she knew he was a great person who would become and even greater hero. It wasn't until some time ago though that she realized her feelings were more then that. As she starts to see Deku work himself even harder every day she knew something was troubling him. Knowing how he is about that she wanted to help him however she could, so she's going to try and pursue her feelings so she could help him. This is a What If fanfic that takes place after season 3 of the anime, where with the help of Bakugo, Deku begins to train even harder then before to wield One for All fully, but wears himself down to the bone in the process. Soon though others notice this and start to look into Midoriya more and start to uncover the truth about One for All. As this is going on as well Uraraka decides to finally follow her heart and pursue Deku, not only because of her desires but because of how she wants to help him with his troubles.
