I can't believe I actually submitted it somewhere. They didn't tell me it was bad, but looking back, I cringed. Nevertheless, it was how the backstory came to me. I regret sending it so short, but the website made it sound like they were looking for stories under a certain word count. However, for what it is, I think it still worked out. NOTE: This is set after Bathilde was in the Neo-Jotun Kingdom and French Resistance, but her memories are focused more on family, as that's who reunited with her.
