Steve was sitting in his room at Stark Tower, when he got a phone call. It was Nick Fury.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Steve. I need you and the avengers on finding out who Spiderman is. Don't be too forceful, we just can't have him running around New York if we don't know who he is."
"Okay, got it." Steve confirmed.

Peter's wrong number has gotten him close to quite a few unexpected (but really very much expected) friends. Them too grew very protective of the boy, though they'd never met, just happy to chat along.
