"Is it easier to be the one who dies or to be the one who survives?"

Kit is trapped in a place she doesn't want to be. Her two older brothers aren't with her, she was moved to LA because of a dangerous past. With her brothers as the only people she cares about , she accepts that they may very well be dead. The chance of her ever seeing them again is slim.

Her brothers taught her to survive in the wild. And her past home taught her to survive people.

"Everyone was dead."

Now she is given people who want to break her walls, but before they get the details, she needs to trust them. Keeping most of her a mystery, just like another man they met. The group set out to find something that doesn't exist. A safe place.
