When 15-year-old Leah Orchard's father invents a time machine, Leah and her best friend Nick Hoffman decide to give it a try behind his back. They find themselves not in the future as they had hoped, but in an amazing alternate universe much like their own, but far stranger. Their simple mission to get home soon turns into a dangerous adventure as they encounter impossible monsters, talking unicorns, evil trees, and an unpredicted fate for the "other" Nick. With the help of "other" Leah, they must find a way home before the real Nick, mistaken for his alternate-universe doppelganger, is punished severely for his crimes.
