Ryder Hunt is, or was a musical prodigy, he could play any instrument as long as he understands it. He can't sing, but he collaborates with others, though he makes instrumental music most of the time. Ryder's life was a roller coaster, his life was down, then it went up then back down.
After many scandals, he died and reincarnated into the young body of Quentin Rei. The psychopath of a book he read when he was younger. To avoid a tragic death by the hands of his "enemies" he acts different, or I guess the way he usually does, from how the previous Quentin acted.
Causing everyone he wanted to avoid come flocking to him.
Ryder has no idea on what to do, but when things aren't going according to the novel, things turn upside down.
