Harry Potter is rescued from an abusive home in fifth year by his godfather Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. His aunts family has been hating him because of his ability to do magic, so he welcomes the Order of the Phoenix as an opportunity at a new life and a chance to help take part in the war.

Solstice Woodward is a normal girl attending Hogwarts, about to go into fifth year. The summer has been torture- the last day of school two years ago, Fenrir Greyback bit her. Her parents, who were never especially nice, beat her for becoming a werewolf. When Solstice runs away and undergoes an especially bad full moon, she will have to take refuge with the Order.
Both children are going through hard times- can they find comfort in each other?

Dark Side of the Moon

16 parts Ongoing Mature

The war is over, but the battles inside are just beginning. When Hermione Granger returns to Hogwarts for her eighth year, she returns as a different person - scarred by fear, death, and even victory. The only person she feels like she can disclose her trauma to is Remus Lupin, former member of the Order of the Phoenix, current professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, and increasingly the object of her secret affections. Lupin, for his part, is not only fighting against the werewolf that lies inside of him at all times but also his burgeoning feelings for his student, feelings which he considers beyond any reasoning, logic, or propriety. However, as these two masters of the mind are about to find out, it's in the matters of the heart where things start to get...unpredictable.
