Moonwatcher is a Nightfall. Every person has powers according to their kind. Being a Nightfall, she has powers of fire, like everyone else does (except for the Blizzards, Oceanic's, and Tropics) and flight. But when she was born, she was born with powers of prophecy and mind reading, and no explanation why.
When an academy comes into existence, her mother is hoping that she can find a place in society with her extra powers. Once Moonwatcher comes to the academy, two boys catch her attention. While she's feeling a growing attraction to both of them, she struggles to tell them about her long-kept secret. As it becomes harder, she has a prophecy about the three of them. Now, more than ever, she needs to tell them, figure out how to stop destruction, and choose with her heart tearing itself in two.
