"Linda, why aren't you coming out", I heard Steve ask behind me. I didn't turn to look at him. I kept staring at the mirror, looking at the lady I had become. I looked different dressed in a wedding gown with the light makeup on my face and the new hairstyle Grace had made me do.

"I'm just scared Steve. Is this really the right thing to do?", I could barely hear my voice as I asked that question. 

"Linda, you know, even better than I do that this marriage is not anything close to a mistake."
I could see from the mirror as he came closer to me. He hugged me from the back and planted a kiss on my cheek. 

"How about we do a bit of reminiscing? Talk about it from the beginning and give you the assurance you're doing the right thing.", He said. His voice sounding so innocent and intriguing I could feel the butterflies it threw into my stomach. 

Giggling, I asked,
"Do we have enough time for that?"

"Anything for my sweetheart", He said as he drew a seat and sat in front of me. 

Then he started,

He didn't kiss me back maybe because he was too shocked to or because he just didn't want to. I started doing his tie, not looking up at him. Tears started to slip out of my eyes. I can't do this, not now, not ever. People gave me a questioning look as I walked up to the gate. Not being able to bare it anymore I started running towards my car as tears continued to slip out of my eyes. And right at that moment I decided to do the one thing that I thought would be the best for all of us I WALKED OUT OF THE ONE PERSON'S LIFE WHOM I LOVE THE MOST
