"Linda, why aren't you coming out", I heard Steve ask behind me. I didn't turn to look at him. I kept staring at the mirror, looking at the lady I had become. I looked different dressed in a wedding gown with the light makeup on my face and the new hairstyle Grace had made me do.

"I'm just scared Steve. Is this really the right thing to do?", I could barely hear my voice as I asked that question.

"Linda, you know, even better than I do that this marriage is not anything close to a mistake."
I could see from the mirror as he came closer to me. He hugged me from the back and planted a kiss on my cheek.

"How about we do a bit of reminiscing? Talk about it from the beginning and give you the assurance you're doing the right thing.", He said. His voice sounding so innocent and intriguing I could feel the butterflies it threw into my stomach.

Giggling, I asked,
"Do we have enough time for that?"

"Anything for my sweetheart", He said as he drew a seat and sat in front of me.

Then he started,
"A love story, yes, just not your regular one. You might be expecting the usual collide and love at first sight issue, or the best friends turn lovers or the enemies turn lovers or even the secret admirer, but ours wasn't those ways, It is way way different from what you think."

" hey " I said while giving a light knock to the door " hi, what are u doing here? come in " he said trying to fix his tie, which he seemed to fail miserably. " shouldn't u be getting ready for the wedding? " he said. He was right, I should be getting ready wearing the white gown selected by my cousin and getting my hair and makeup done. But here I was wearing all black standing in front of him. The wedding is to be held within a few hours, everything was planned according to me, the pinkish white and red wine coloured decorations, the food , the cake, everything. This wedding is exactly as I expected my wedding to be. " ughhh God, Anne can you please help me with the tie? " he said giving up trying to do his tie. He was wearing the black wedding tuxedo which looked as if it was made only for him, his hair combed and parted on the left side giving him the perfect look. " no " I said sternly " no? " he said finally looking up at me connecting our eyes. Slowly I walked closer to him and then did the one thing that I wanted to do for so many years, I closed the distance between us and pressed my lips onto his, the kiss lasted for a few second before I pulled out, but stood very close to him. He didn't kiss me back maybe because he was too shocked to or because he just didn't want to. I started doing his tie, not looking up at him. I felt him staring down at me " this is the last time I am doing something for u Kai " I said as I walked out of his room and apparently his life, not daring to look back. Tears started to slip out of my eyes. I can't do this, not now, not ever. People gave me a questioning look as I walked up to the gate. Not being able to bare it anymore I started running towards my car as tears continued to slip out of my eyes. And right at that moment I decided to do the one thing that I thought would be the best for all of us I WALKED OUT OF THE ONE PERSON'S LIFE WHOM I LOVE THE MOST

Jack spits. ♔ When Scarlett moved off to college, she hoped to start anew and find her way in this world alone. Two problems. My palm cracked against his cheek before I even realised I'd raised it. He froze, then smiled-slow, cruel, like he saw something ugly inside me I tried so hard to hide. And then his hand shot up, fingers sliding into my hair.... enough to make me meet his eyes. Enough to remind me how easily he could close the distance between anger and something darker. "You think this makes you brave?" "No," I said. "It makes me done being scared." "Do that again," his breath touch my cheek, "and I'll make sure you never forget how I'll ruin you." I laughed breathlessly. "You already did. You've been ruining me since the day I stepped into this place." He smirked. "If that's what you call ruined, Sunshine, you haven't seen anything yet." "Obsessed. Psychotic. You can't stand not being in control, can you?" He leaned in, voice cutting. "Control? No. I just hate losing. And I hate you more than anyone I've ever met." "Leave me alone... demon," I managed, "stay out of my life." hating the tremor in my tone. He stared at me. "Demons never let go of their prey." his thumb brushes on my lower lip. "Until you do what I say." He stepped back and took off his jacket and held the jacket out between us. "You want me to leave you alone?" He said slowly like a challenge disguised as mercy. I crossed my arms. "What are you doing?" "Making it official." "Official?" He stepped closer, so close I could feel the faint heat still clinging to the leather. "You'll wear this," his grey eyes locked on mine. "You'll wear my jacket. Every time you feel it, every time someone looks at you, you'll remember who made you take it. You'll remember me and I'll stay away." For a heartbeat, I stared at him, hated him for how much I understood his madness. How he twists me, questioning my own sanity, using every crack in me as a weapon. Would Elara choose peace over him? Tale of vengeance, obsession and defiance. Dark academia aesthetic. Morally heroes, slow-burning romance. Enemies-to-lovers.

"Vivaan, we both are very different from each other and so are our thoughts. When you people are busy exploring new hook up methods, I am still stuck in my old school love stories. I am stuck in my own fairy world still believing in one true love. We both are poles apart from each other. It wouldn't work out between us," I explained. "How would you know if you haven't tried yet?" he said. "Try?" I chuckled. "Love is not a joke that you can try one and if it's not funny enough you can go for another one," I said. "What do you want then?" he asked me. "I want you to leave me alone," I said. "See, whatever you say or do, you can't change the way I feel about you. So you can take your time. However long it might take. I am happy that atleast you accepted your feelings," he said cupping my face with his hand and slowly kissing my forehead. ****************************
