A Sun Drop

A drop of the Sun falls to earth, fusing itself in the body of a beautiful sunflower. It watched, as the years passed, the world around it evolve and grow. It watched humanity come to it’s island and slowly build a small kingdom. Four hundred years passed since the drop fell when it (the sunflower) is finally picked. It is made into a tea and drunken by pregnant woman; the drop was absorbed into the woman’s body and merged itself with her unborn child. The woman dies during birth and the child is left in the care of the village.
