Millie is headed for college with her best friend Kimberly, as they leave behind their two best guy friends and their hometown. All goes well until they're brought back home by a tragic event that leaves them all confused. Nothing returns to normal. Friendships are betrayed, hope is lost, and it seems as if nothing will ever go the way it's supposed to. Millie learns that trust can easily be broken and things can change within a second as her world is ripped apart. *** "What changed you? You used to be so carefree and kind and now this?! What happened? Tell me the truth. I can't believe you would betray your best friends like that," I screamed, livid. "You wouldn't understand." "That was the most cliché sentence you could've said. Of course I'd understand. We're best friends, or... we were." I didn't get a response.
